Libercom head forced out under anti-corruption pressure

13 Feb 2017

The Director General of Benin state-owned mobile operator Libercom was relieved of his duties on 9 February 2017, following fierce criticism of the company’s ‘mismanagement’ by the Front of National Organisations Against Corruption (Fonac). Agence Ecofin reports that Idrissou Djima, who had held the post since January 2014, was effectively blamed by Fonac for poor management of the company’s human resources and unjustified expenses.
