Optima shareholders give H1 thumbs up

30 Jan 2017

Shareholders in the Croatian fixed broadband provider Optima Telekom have approved the firm’s proposed takeover of rival ISP H1 Telekom. Shareholders including Zagrebacka Banka and state-owned bank HPB were 63.1% in favour of the deal at an extraordinary shareholders meeting last week, Poslovni Dnevnik reports. Optima Telekom is currently being managed by T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT). It was reported in TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate last week that H1’s founder and minority shareholder Zoran Curkovic has been considering a reverse takeover move for Optima, though a formal announcement has not yet been made.
