23 Jan 2017

Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat group says its LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) networks now cover some 40% of the country’s population, or more than 15.3 million people. In addition, its standard LTE networks reach 99% of Poles. Polsat, which provides wireless services via subsidiaries Polkomtel and Aero2, said that its networks carried 152PB of data in the fourth quarter of 2016, 23% more than the previous quarter and up 63% year-on-year. Polsat group companies use a combination of 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz spectrum for their LTE and LTE-A services.
