Slovenia renews Telekom Slovenije’s universal service commitment

6 Jan 2017

Slovenia’s Agency for Communications Networks & Services (AKOS) has renewed Telekom Slovenije’s designation as the country’s universal telecoms services provider for a further three years. The firm is responsible for providing connectivity to users at any fixed location across the country and for the provision of national and international call services. State-backed former monopoly operator Telekom Slovenije is the dominant fixed and mobile services provider in Slovenia. The telco was last designated as universal services provider in 2014.
