P4, Virgin main winners from Polish MNP

Poland’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) says 1.75 million users took advantage of mobile number portability (MNP) in 2016. The biggest winner from MNP was second-placed operator P4, which trades as Play; it gained a net 295,241 new users from other networks. The other major beneficiary was MVNO Virgin Mobile, which saw a net 52,771 customers migrate from other providers. The biggest loser from MNP was T-Mobile Poland, which saw a net 307,052 customers switch to other networks, while Polkomtel lost a net 97,734 subscribers via MNP.

Fixed number portability (FNP) was used by 617,951 customers in 2016, with Orange Polska losing a net 137,477 subscribers over the year, while T-Mobile emerged as the biggest winner, with 100,979 net additions.
