MyRepublic partners with Symbio Networks for VoIP delivery

9 Dec 2016

Australian IP voice communications provider Symbio Networks has struck a partnership with recently-launched ISP MyRepublic, ARN reports. Supported by Symbio’s wholesale call termination services, it is understood that MyRepublic will deliver VoIP over both the National Broadband Network (NBN) and via ADSL to consumers, using the vendor’s application programming interface (API) for automated number porting. With the deal designed to allow MyRepublic leverage Symbio’s smart networks for its voice offering and local call termination services, delivered via SIP trunking on the Symbio network, a data centre cross connect will also provide a direct link between the ISP and Symbio’s network, enabling voice traffic to travel on a direct link instead of over the public internet.

Speaking on the deal, Symbio CEO Rene Sugo said: ‘Symbio call termination services, together with the number porting and ordering API will enable MyRepublic to deliver high quality voice services to their customers, and do so more efficiently … Combined with their NBN and ADSL offerings, this allows MyRepublic to deliver a complete home telecommunications solution.’
