Orange Slovensko, Slovakia’s largest wireless provider by subscribers, has announced that it has increased its LTE network coverage to a further 61 municipalities, reports MobilMania. Orange Slovensko’s current 4G population coverage stands at 78.2%, encompassing 139 towns and 1,008 villages, and by the end of the year it is projected to reach 80%.
The Slovak operator also plans to introduce voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) services in early 2017, followed by voice-over-WiFi (VoWiFi). According to the firm’s Technical Director Ivan Golian, Orange will test VoLTE in select locations next year before rolling out its coverage to the whole country.
