T-Mobile Poland hits 1,000 sites with 800MHz LTE

T-Mobile Poland says it now has more than 1,000 4G LTE base stations operating in the 800MHz band. According to a report from Telix, the cellco expects to add several hundred new 800MHz sites by the end of this year. The firm won its 800MHz spectrum at auction in October 2015 and went on to launch 4G services in the band in February this year. It now says its combined 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz LTE networks cover 98% of Poland’s population. According to data from TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, T-Mobile is Poland’s third largest cellco by subscribers, with around 22% of the overall market at the end of June 2016.
