Telecom Italia, which offers fixed and mobile services in Italy and Brazil under the TIM brand, has reported a 1.4% year-on-year rise in group revenues for the third quarter to 30 September 2016, to EUR4.84 billion (USD5.49 billion). EBITDA climbed 8.8% to EUR2.15 billion, while net profit attributable to shareholders amounted to EUR477 million, up 42.8% from EUR334 million in 3Q15. The firm says it recorded the strongest performance in its domestic market since 2007, with sales up 1% and EBITDA rising 7.9%, while there were also positive signs in Brazil. TIM claimed 29.55 million mobile subscribers in Italy and 63.25 million in Brazil at the end of September.
