Vodafone to launch fixed broadband product over NBN

20 Oct 2016

Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) has confirmed plans to offer fixed broadband services over the National Broadband Network (NBN) from the end of 2017. Company CEO Inaki Berroeta said: ‘Customers want seamless connection, easy-to-understand plans and reliable service. That’s the proposition we’ll be bringing to Australia before the end of 2017.’ While the executive stopped short of revealing the specifics of pricing or plans, he said that Vodafone is eyeing the four million homes that are expected to be NBN-ready by the end of next year. It is believed that the telco has waited until the scope of the next generation network was large enough to make a fixed broadband product a viable commercial proposition.
