nbn contracts Fulton Hogan, Visionstream for new housing developments and fibre links

nbn, the company overseeing Australia’s National Broadband Network (NBN), has signed four-year Design and Construction Master Agreements (DCMA) with two partners, Fulton Hogan and Visionstream. These agreements will reportedly support the rollout of NBN to an estimated 450,000 new development premises and 150 transit fibre links nationally. In a press release announcing the deals – which represent the final Multi-Technology-Mix (MTM) construction agreements – nbn noted that the DCMAs have been developed to allow combined design and construction delivery using a scale focussed, end-to-end, outcome based, performance driven model.

Commenting on the matter, nbn Chief Network Engineering Officer, Peter Ryan, said: ‘These new DCMA agreements provide us with the agility to deploy the [NBN] to new homes in greenfield developments and in-fill brownfield areas.’
