29 Sep 2016

Hungarian regional triple-play network operator Invitel has received a HUF1.95 billion (USD7.1 million) EU grant for expanding its broadband services, Budapest Business reported. The company announced that it will utilise the funding to improve broadband facilities in approximately 100 settlements/municipalities, where fixed internet speeds will be increased to at least 30Mbps. Invitel added that it is committed to extending advanced services to underserved areas, via a mixture of its own investment and EU funding.
