Cable & Wireless Panama (CWP) has outlined a plan under which it will expand and enhance its 4G network, TeleSemana reports. With the operator having introduced commercial LTE-based services back in March 2015, it is now undertaking a project which will see it bring coverage to new locations in a number of provinces, namely: Cocle and Herrera, with two new locations in each province set to gain access to the cellco’s 4G infrastructure; Los Santos, Chiriqui and Panama Oeste (three new locations each); Colombus (five locations); Panama (six locations); and Veraguas (one location). In addition, the report notes that existing coverage will be expanded in the town of Meteti in the Darien province and the city of Colombus in the Colombus province, while Cocle, Panama Oeste and Chiriqui will see two, three and four locations gain expanded coverage, respectively.
