Polish regional cable TV and broadband operator INEA has launched a new 1Gbps service for its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) customers, which it says is now the fastest residential internet offering in the country. Its ‘Internet GIGA’ product is priced at PLN89.95 (USD24.07) for the first month, then PLN179.90 a month thereafter. Its previous fastest service had a peak download speed of 500Mbps and cost PLN149.90 a month. INEA is active in the Wielkopolska province of central Poland and claims to be the country’s largest provider of FTTH services, with around 11% of the total 340,000 subscribers as of end-March 2016.
