Mexican-owned cellco Claro Peru has completed its acquisition of 100% of the shares in WiMAX provider Olo, El Comercio writes. Claro CEO Humberto Chavez was quoted as saying that the acquisition includes Olo’s more than 350 towers, and that: ‘The infrastructure will be used and will generate synergies that improve the experience in wireless internet services for our customers by offering more speed with greater coverage.’ The official added that the two companies will continue to operate independently, however.
