9 Aug 2016

Russian fixed broadband/pay-TV operator ER-Telecom (Dom.ru) has acquired regional ISP Corvette Telecom (Irknet), which operates in the Irkutsk region, reports Telecompaper citing Comnews.ru. Corvette Telecom has a presence in the Irkursk, Angarsk and Slyudyanka areas, mainly providing internet services for residential subscribers, while the ISP has offered cable TV services since 2011. ER-Telecom acquired 100% of shares from the smaller company’s CEO Boris Bliznyukov. Russian competition authorities cleared the acquisition in November 2015, whilst ER-Telecom went on to acquire another Irkutsk-based ISP, Megapolis-Telecom, earlier this year.
