Cox extends Gigabit broadband to Wichita; twelve states now covered

US cableco Cox Communications has announced that its ‘G1GABLAST’-branded Gigabit broadband service for residential customers is now live in Wichita, Kansas. The company is deploying residential 1Gbps internet speeds to new developments in Wichita and at other Cox locations across the country. Its G1GABLAST service is currently available in twelve states, while the company aims to have Gigabit speeds available in all of its markets by the end of 2016. Cox has been deploying multi-Gigabit speeds to businesses for more than eleven years, the press release notes.
