Dhiraagu reaches 500,000 subscriber milestone

Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun (Dhiraagu), the Maldives’ incumbent telecoms operator, has announced that it has signed up 500,000 users to its portfolio, comprising fixed, mobile and broadband services. The operator disclosed that it currently provides 3G services to 100% of the country’s population, in addition to operating a ‘4G network with the widest coverage across the country’. Dhiraagu’s CEO and Managing Director Mr Ismail Rasheed said: ‘With 58% of the population already covered with its 4G LTE service, Dhiraagu continues to strive to widen their network while enhancing the customer experience with the advancements in technology.’ In a bid to mark the milestone, the operator will provide free subscriptions to its Smart Premium Plus and 100Mbps Fibre Broadband Connection plans for twelve months.
