Profit down 22% at Telekom Slovenije

29 Jul 2016

Slovenia’s Telekom Slovenije has reported a 22% fall in its first-half consolidated net profit to EUR17.3 million (USD19.2 million). Total revenue dropped 5% to EUR347.8 million, though on a comparable basis – taking into account the sale of Macedonian unit ONE last year – there would have been a rise of 3%. EBITDA for the six months to 30 June was down 2% year-on-year at EUR105.2 million. The state-backed group, which has fixed and mobile operations in Slovenia, Kosovo and Bosnia & Herzegovina, claimed 1.72 million cellular subscribers, 564,690 fixed telephony customers and 331,534 broadband connections at the end of June 2016.
