Hatif Libya unveils Hanet fixed-wireless broadband service in western region

Libyan fixed line incumbent Hatif has confirmed that it has completed technical work to expand its new fixed-wireless internet service, branded ‘Hanet’, into the country’s western region. The first phase of the project aims to reach 110,000 new customers, via the deployment of 204 fixed-wireless base stations. The company says that download speeds should average around 920Kbps, with 6Mbps downlink given as the theoretical maximum.
