YouSee to upgrade HFC network in Vanlose to 1Gbps

1 Jun 2016

Danish telecoms group TDC has announced that it is currently upgrading the YouSee cable network in the Vanlose district of Copenhagen. When completed, the DOCSIS 3.1 upgrade will provide 10,000 households with maximum downlink speeds of 1Gbps.

As reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate in May 2016, the operator kicked off the deployment of the DOCSIS 3.1 technology across its HFC footprint in the town of Lejre in Zealand. The high speed service will eventually enable TDC to provide 1.4 million households with broadband speeds of up to 1Gbps. The work is being carried out in partnership with Chinese equipment vendor Huawei, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2017.
