Chorus extends Nokia contract for three years

31 May 2016

New Zealand’s wholesale telecoms network operator Chorus has handed a three-year contract extension to Nokia under which the vendor will deploy its broadband access, IP routing and optical transport solutions. Nokia will continue to deploy a mix of fixed access solutions, including fibre-based GPON FTTH and copper-based VDSL2 equipment. The managed services partnership also includes operations and network integration support services. Chorus was created in November 2011 when Spark (formerly Telecom New Zealand) completed the structural separation of its retail and wholesale networks businesses.
