Polkomtel to take full control of Midas via squeeze-out

Polish mobile operator Polkomtel has announced a squeeze-out of minority shareholders in the Midas Group, which controls sister wireless operators Aero2, Mobyland and Centernet. Polkomtel currently controls 93.24% of Midas’ shares and is now offering PLN0.81 (USD0.22) per share for the remaining shares. Polkomtel is itself run by broadcaster Cyfrowy Polsat, which is part of a group of companies owned by billionaire mogul Zygmunt Solorz-Zak.
