Indonesian fibre broadband provider PT Supra Primatama Nusantara, trading as Biznet Networks (incl. max3 Internet), has selected Amdocs to provide it with a new, comprehensive customer care and billing platform to support its future growth strategy and to deliver a ‘premier’ customer service solution. In a joint press release, Biznet Networks’ director Adi Kusma said: ‘In order to support our ambitious growth plans, we needed a solution that was rich in functionality, and could accommodate rapid customer growth and roll out of new services with innovative promotions and campaigns, while delivering a premier customer experience.’
TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database writes that Biznet Networks was created in 2000 and is owned by local tycoon Rudy Suliawan, via Supra Primatama Nusantara. It uses several networking technologies, such as Metro Ethernet, GE-PON (Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network), NG-SDH (Next Generation Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) and MPLS (Multi-Protocol Layer Switching). Today, its services are available in Jakarta, Bandung, Cirebon, Tegal, Semarang, Salatiga, Yogyakarta, Solo, Madiun, Surabaya, Malang, Jember, Tabanan, Ubud and Denpasar. Furthermore, a number of smaller towns throughout West Java, Central Java and East Java are also covered by the fibre service, while a second phase of expansion in August 2015 saw Biznet Fiber developed in Bangka Java and Batam – thanks to a USD70 million investment to support the expansion. It also operates ten international points of presence (PoPs) in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, London and Palo Alto (California), and is connected to major internet exchanges worldwide.
