Bolivia gets four applications to run MNP

Bolivia’s telecoms watchdog, the Autoridad de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes (ATT), says it has received four applications to run the country’s mobile number portability (MNP) system. Proposals have been submitted by Systor International, Comtec, Ictec-Mediafon Datapro and Porting Access. The regulator has still to give a firm date for when it expects MNP to be implemented for the country’s 10.7 million mobile users, although it previously indicated a target of launching the service by the end of this year.
