AT&T launches Gigabit broadband in LA metro area

30 Mar 2016

US telecoms giant AT&T has announced plans to launch its GigaPower 1Gbps fibre-optic broadband service in the Los Angeles metro area. The rollout will complement the telco’s initial wave of LA deployment activity, announced in December 2015, which focused on Eastvale, Irvine, Orange County and the surrounding communities. AT&T GigaPower is now available in 20 of the nation’s largest metros areas, while the telco has divulged plans to expand its ultra-fast service in parts of 36 additional metro areas.
