Orange Madagascar to invest USD155m, 4G launch expected by 2020

Orange Madagascar has announced plans to invest MGA500 billion (USD154.75 million) in its telecoms network and services, while also aiming to launch 4G technology, as part of the ‘Essentials 2020’ strategic plan. The operator also aims to enhance its customer relations via greater interactivity and simplified offers, improve its business products in line with the needs of corporate consumers and develop its Orange Money offerings.

As noted in TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Orange Madagascar launched services in March 1998 and currently operates 2G and 3G mobile networks.
