Zimbabwean enterprise-specialist ISP Aquiva Wireless says it is to invest around USD11 million this year in the rollout of fibre-optic infrastructure between Harare and the town of Plumtree in the west of the country. According to a report from The Herald, the firm says it has already deployed fibre from Harare to Gweru, with work on the Gweru to Plumtree link to begin next month. Aquiva currently operates fibre networks in Harare, Bulawayo, Beitbridge and Mutare, while it also uses VSAT technology to offer connectivity to business users in other areas.
