SFR Reunion is planning to commercially launch its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) offering with down/uplink speeds of 100Mbps/20Mbps in the commune of Etang-Sale in March, Megazap reports. The operator will offer two double-play subscription plans bundling TV and broadband access – ‘Family’, costing EUR49.99 (USD55) per month and ‘Big Show’ (EUR59.99). According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, construction work on the FTTH network commenced in Etang-Sale in June 2015, with more than 5,000 households set to benefit from the deployment. SFR is aiming to connect 30,000 households to its fibre-optic infrastructure by end-2016, with plans to pass 60% of households by 2017.
