Verizon gets caught in SpiderCloud’s LTE-U web

10 Feb 2016

US mobile market leader Verizon Wireless has enlisted SpiderCloud Wireless, a provider of scalable small cell systems, to collaborate on a trial of LTE-Unlicensed (LTE-U) technology. LTE-U uses the unlicensed 5GHz band to increase throughput via carrier aggregation with licensed spectrum and is designed to deliver capacity in high-density indoor environments, such as multi-tenant business offices, shopping malls, hospitals and university campuses. The trial will commence in the third quarter of 2016, the vendor said.
