AT&T launches GigaPower in parts of Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago

AT&T has extended its GigaPower fibre-optic network to residential and small business customers in four major metropolitan markets. According to a series of press announcements, new areas covered by the 1Gbps service have been named as: Pingree Grove, Plano, Sugar Grove and surrounding communities (all Chicago, Illinois); Cedar Hill, Colleyville, DeSoto, Joshua, Keene, Keller, Lakeside, Little Elm and Roanoke (all Dallas, Texas); Buford, Jonesboro, Lawrenceville, Norcross, Roswell, Sugar Hill and Suwanee (all Atlanta, Georgia); and Cooper City, Miami Lakes, Miramar, Pembroke Pines and Plantation (all Miami, Florida). AT&T notes that GigaPower is now available in 20 of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas, with plans to extend the service to a further 36 metro areas in due course.
