Vodafone India plans to launch 4G service in Mumbai on 10 February and in Bengaluru on 11 February, the Economic Times reports. 4G SIM cards have been on sale in Mumbai since early January, and the newspaper has now confirmed that the cellco has sent press invitations for the launch invent in Mumbai, which will take place next week. Bengaluru (also known as Bangalore) is home to a large business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.
Earlier this week, Vodafone switched on its LTE network in the Delhi-NCR region, following similar launches in Kolkata, Karnataka, and Kerala telecom circles. The telco said that it will expand 4G network in the Delhi-NCR region in a phased manner, with Chinese equipment vendor Huawei deploying the infrastructure.
