CEC Liquid Telecom Zambia to invest USD16m in developing infrastructure in 2016

CEC Liquid Telecom Zambia has unveiled plans to invest USD16 million in infrastructure development this year with a view to improving internet connectivity and penetration in the country. Managing director of the company, Andrew Kapula, has also confirmed plans to open more offices in Southern, Northern and Western parts of Zambia; he noted that last year the company invested some USD17 million in infrastructure as it sought to improve its telecommunication services. Among the achievements that year, CEC Liquid extended its backbone fibre by 500 kilometres, while its metro fibre network now stretches for more than 2,700 kilometres across the country.
