Chilean cellco WOM has completed the rollout of its 4G network, having extended LTE services to 21 towns and cities, BioBio Chile reports. Alongside the announcement, WOM extended a 4G promotion providing customers with 10GB of 4G downloads per month for ten months when they sign up to a post-paid plan. Commenting on the launch, WOM’s chief marketing officer Sebastian Precht said: ‘Today we can say WOM is present from Arica to Punta Arenas. This is a commitment we made to all Chileans, and today it finally materialises. We hope that people will now enjoy all the benefits the 4G network brings, taking advantage of them to the fullest thanks to the gigs [GBs] that WOM gives its uses for this launch.’
The 21 towns and cities covered by WOM’s LTE network are as follows: Arica, Iquique, Calama, Antofagasta, Copiapo, La Serena, Coquimbo, Ovalle, Valparaiso, Santiago, Rancagua, San Fernando, Curico, Talca, Linares, Concepcion, Temuco, Osorno, Puerto Montt, Valdivia and Punta Arenas.
