Telia Denmark takes over DLG Tele

6 Jan 2016

Danish telecoms operator Telia has acquired full ownership of domestic reseller DLG Tele, its 50/50 joint venture with agricultural firm DLG Group, for an undisclosed sum. Following the takeover, DLG Tele will continue to operate under the same brand and its suite of services will remain unchanged. Telia Denmark’s CEO Morten Bentzen commented: ‘DLG Tele is a well-run company and a strong player in the Danish telecommunications market. The brand fits well with Telia and Call Me, and we see good opportunities to further develop DLG Tele.’

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database DLG Tele was established by one of Europe’s largest agricultural companies – DLG Group – in 2000. In early 2007 TeliaSonera went on to acquire 100% of debitel Danmark; the transaction included debitel’s 50% joint venture DLG-debitel, which offers services under the DLG Tele brand.
