Mincom sets USD77m price tag for 4G licences

Tunisia’s Ministry of Communication Technologies and the Digital Economy (Ministere des Technologies de la Communication et de l’Economie Numerique, Mincom) has set a price of TND155 million (USD76.58 million) for 4G licences, Agence Ecofin writes, citing ICT minister Noomane Fehri. Technical bids are expected to be submitted by Tunisia’s trio of cellcos in February 2016, with the licences to be awarded the following month. According to the official, commercial launches of the technology could take place as early as June 2016.
