10 Dec 2015

Indonesian mobile operator Indosat Ooredoo has selected Nokia Networks to supply it with an LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network, including the rollout of 4G+ base transceiver stations (BTS) in key cities across the regions of Java, Kalimantan and Sumatra. The contract will see Nokia employing carrier aggregation (CA) technology in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands, to deliver download speeds in the range of 150Mbps, using Single RAN Advanced radio access, including Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Stations, supported by NetAct, which Nokia terms ‘a virtualised OSS for effective and consolidated monitoring and optimisation’ of the LTE-A network.
