Japan’s NTT Communications is set to launch data services in India, the Japanese Times writes, citing unnamed sources. The operator will provide integrated network services primarily targeting the roughly 1,200 Japanese businesses in the country. According to the sources, Japanese firms have found connections offered by local providers unreliable and have been calling for the introduction of high-quality services. NTT will offer VPN and cloud services via a wholly owned subsidiary, NTT Communications India, which was established earlier this year and holds a national long-distance (NLD) licence.
