Norwegian broadband provider Altibox has announced a subscriber milestone, revealing that this week it has connected its 400,000th fibre-based broadband customer. In so doing, the company said that these connections now serve around one million Norwegians (based on an approximate 2.5 person-per-household ratio). In the first half of 2015 Altibox – which offers its services to retail customers via strategic partnerships with 37 regional power utilities – added some 19,000 new subscribers to its books. Altibox also noted that 20,000 of its connections now provide access at downlink speeds of up to 100Mbps.
