10 Nov 2015

Tele2 Russia, jointly controlled by VTB Group and Rostelecom, has announced that its combined 3G and 4G LTE cellular network coverage has reached 59 regions, following its most recent batch of launches of high speed mobile services in metropolitan Moscow and the Moscow Region (3G/4G), Tambov (4G only), Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area (4G), and the Republic of Buryatia (3G). Tele2 is pushing a range of ‘simple’ but ‘unique’ 3G/4G mobile packages, differing in volume of inclusive data, number of minutes and SMS, with ‘no hidden conditions’ at ‘affordable prices’. Meanwhile, the group continues a nationwide programme of switching its various local regional operating divisions to the main Tele2 brand, with the Republic of Mariy El the latest, and 22nd, region to rebrand.
