GO Malta expands FTTH footprint

27 Oct 2015

Maltese telco GO says its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network now passes more than 25,000 households, with coverage having been added recently for around 5,000 properties in Gzira and Ta’ Xbiex. GO’s fibre-based offering provides broadband internet access at download speeds of up to 500Mbps, alongside TV and voice telephony services. The telco launched its first FTTH services to 17,000 homes in May this year, and expects to have reached 33,000 households by the end of this year and to have a nationwide network within five years.
