UK’s telecoms operator Vodafone has announced that its fibre-optic business-grade network now passes 22 million premises across the country. The nationwide infrastructure – which was initially only available to existing Vodafone mobile subscribers – offers downlink speeds of up to 76Mbps; from today, potential users could sign up to several plans, including Broadband ADSL (up to 17Mbps), ‘Superfast Fibre Broadband’ (up to 38Mbps) and ‘Superfast Fibre+ Broadband’ (up to 76Mbps). In addition, anyone signing up from today will receive a twelve-month subscription to Netflix. Cindy Rose, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK said: ‘We are delighted that we are now able to bring our innovative new home broadband service to people across the UK, allowing them to share in the great experience many of our existing customers are already enjoying.’
