12 Oct 2015

Russian cableco ER-Telecom, the country’s second-largest broadband provider by subscribers, is in talks to buy B2B fixed-wireless broadband operator Enforta, reports Broadband TV News. Negotiations are at an early stage but could involve the two parties’ mutual stakeholder Baring Vostok Capital Partners, according to unnamed market participants quoted by Russian news source Kommersant. The report adds that WiMAX network operator Enforta – which has a presence in 69 of Russia’s 83 regions – is worth roughly USD87.5 million at current exchange rates.
