UPC Hungary, Ericsson sign managed services deal

Cableco UPC Hungary has contracted Swedish vendor Ericsson to manage certain field operations and maintenance activities, under a five-year deal effective as of 1 October 2015. Under the agreement, Ericsson says it will ‘expand its managed services capabilities in the cable service area and reinforce its service business in the Central-European region’. This is Ericsson’s first managed services contract in Hungary.

Gabor Ery, Head of Ericsson Hungary, commented: ‘Ericsson has transition and transformation experience from managed services contracts in more than 100 countries, and we will bring our global processes, methods and tools into this co-operation.’
