Russia’s Ministry of Telecom & Mass Communications (Minsvyaz) has begun accepting applications for federal subsidies to deploy telecoms networks in the Crimea peninsula in the three-year period 2015-17. As reported by Telecompaper, subsidies are expected to cover 20%-80% of expenses in projects to interconnect infrastructure in the Crimea region (including the separately administered city of Sevastopol) with the Russian federal telecommunications network.
