GO begins search for a buyer

Maltese telco GO has called an extraordinary general meeting to seek approval to invite bids for the company’s entire share capital. In July this year GO’s 60% owner Emirates International Telecommunications Malta Limited (EITML) announced its intention to dispose of its shareholding in the company in the short term. GO provides a range of fixed line and wireless voice, data and TV services across Malta, and counted 225,000 mobile customers and 74,000 fixed broadband subscribers at the end of June, according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
