Windstream introduces 100Mbps service to 250 markets across 16 states

US fixed line operator Windstream has completed ‘significant service upgrades’ in approximately 250 markets across 16 states, bringing downlink transmission speeds of up to 100Mbps to residential and small business customers. Additional upgrades are already said to be underway, and will see the upgraded service extended to approximately 600 more markets by the end of 2016. In total, Windstream is on track to make 50Mbps-100Mbps speeds available to nearly one million households and small businesses in more than 850 markets by year-end.
