Zimbabwe’s TelOne reports profit for first half of 2015

7 Sep 2015

The Zimbabwean state-owned fixed line and internet provider TelOne has reported a net profit of USD479,827 for the first six months of 2015, reversing a loss of USD7.86 million a year earlier. According to a report in the Sunday Mail, revenues for the half year stood at USD69.17 million; a comparative figure for 1H 2014 was not given. The operator is pushing the broadband internet side of its business as the fixed voice segment continues to decline, having launched new Wi-Fi and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks earlier this year.
