Vodafone Group’s Czech mobile business has unveiled the latest details of its ongoing LTE rollout, announcing that 18 towns and cities have now been provisioned with ultra-high speed services, including Pisek, Dvur Kralove nad Labem and Kutna Hora. In a press release the operator confirms that its 4G signal now covers 85% of the population and 82% of the territory of the Czech Republic using frequencies in the 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz and 2100MHz bands. The cellco’s latest rollout covers not only local residential areas, online journal Mobilmania says, but also popular tourist destinations such as Safari Dvur Kralove, as Vodafone looks to fulfil its objective to roll out LTE to all Czech cities this summer. Vodafone markets 3G and 4G under the unified brand Turbo Internet; taken together, the combined footprint of which serves 98% of the population and 88% of the territory. Last month, Vodafone said it added LTE at the following locations: Sand (South Bohemian Region); Blansko, Boskovice and Hodonin Kyjov (South Moravian Region); Dvur Kralove nad Labem, Trutnov and Vrchlabi (Hradec Kralove Region); Hlinsko and Chrudim (Pardubice Region); Benesov, Kutna Hora and Pribram (Central Region); and Most and Teplice (Usti nad Labem Region).
