24 Aug 2015

Armenian mobile operator VivaCell-MTS, an 80% controlled unit of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), booked revenue of AMD18.5 billion (USD3.873 million) for the three months ending 30 June 2015, up 9.2% quarter-on-quarter, as operating income before depreciation and amortisation (OIBDA) rose 4.2% q-o-q to AMD8.5 billion. The cellco’s parent said that growth in the three-month period was in part the result of ‘seasonal factors’ and noted that average monthly revenue per user (APRU) rose 10.5% from AMD2.565 to AMD2.836 per month. Minutes of use (MOU) increased by 8.7% over the same period to 536 minutes from 493 minutes as the operator’s customer base increased to 2.1 million.
